Where to start today. I just read through a bunch of things and I’m coming across more and more things of note.

Let’s do it alphabetically from the different online sources I read.

First, a kind of doomy financial thing from one of my favorites, Blogging the Singularity, about something I actually mentioned recently, “fire sales” and such.

How the politician sees the family

Next, we have both Obama AND McCain FINALLY admitting that we’re in a recession, over at Deprogram Your Mind.

Then, we have how THEY are afraid of US (?) and also something about the nature of sanity over at the very cool flux 64.

After that, we can be free to take in this really cool (and creepy) illustration and story on McCain/Palin at our friends’ Gallery of the Absurd that I mentioned the other day over at our Twitter profile (follow us!).

Next, there’s something very interesting about creating an anti-economy that I really enjoyed reading at ilvox. Nowtopia! Very intriguing stuff. I also like this from the ever-inspirational Banksy (sorry, couldn’t help myself with that one).

Oh and WHOA there’s THIS about the future of cars at inhabitat! Damn.

Now, on to the utterly ridiculous, and more. I found Wes Unruh via Alterati, and I really enjoy his mutato nomine. So, from that, notable recent writings include how some think terrorists could plot in World of Warcraft (geeeez), Rush Limbaugh’s lovely “Barack the Magic Negro” ditty, that trees can communicate with each other (cool, if true) and finally, the fascinating “What Makes People Vote Republican?”

The Wall of Shame

At Posthuman Blues, I spotted this piece about a film that shows how we’re running out of clean water. Not too good.
